The Spin Star quilt, sometimes known as the “Card Trick”, features spinning stars and feather quilting. This handmade quilt boasts a scalloped border and 386 yards of hand-quilting, all quilted by one Pennsylvania Amish lady to insure uniform stitching. The quilt is initialed and dated. The Spin Star quilt fits a queen-size bed with a 22 inch drop on each side and a generous length for a pillow tuck.

While the fabric pieces are stitched with each other by machine to make sure tighter stitching, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton fabrics make up the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched in between those 2 layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting guaranties both heat and also superb washing results.
Almost all of our quilts are sizable enough to relieve the need for a dust ruffle and pillow shams. Just as bed heights are different, each quilt's sizing varies. We publish the quilt's dimensions together with the estimated drop for you to compare to the dimensions you are trying to find. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.
