The Twinkling Star quilt is a multi-pieced star pattern with one lone star in the center and many small stars arranged to “twinkle” around it. Star patterns are some of the oldest quilt patterns, but great precision is needed to make all the star points meet and lie flat! It is neatly hand-quilted by one Amish lady to insure uniform stitches. The quilt fits a queen-size bed, allowing 19 inches of drop per side with sufficient length for a pillow tuck.

Though the pieces of fabric are stitched together by machine to make sure tighter sewing, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton materials make up the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched between those 2 layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting guaranties both heat and excellent washing outcomes.
You will discover our quilts to be relatively sizable in length and width. As a matter of fact, most of our quilts are large enough to reduce the necessity for a dust ruffle and pillow shams. Just as bed heights vary, every quilt's dimensions differs. You'll find we specify the quilt's dimensions alongside the calculated drop for you to compare to the dimensions you may need. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.
