This handmade quilt boasts a scalloped border and over three hundred yards of hand-quilting, all quilted by one Pennsylvania Amish lady to insure uniform stitching. The quilt is initialed and dated. On a queen-size bed, this quilt will have a drop measurement of 20 inches with a generous length to fold over your pillows.

While the pieces of fabric are stitched together by machine to guarantee tighter sewing, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton materials make up the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched between those 2 layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting guaranties both warmth and also excellent washing results.
You will discover our quilts to be reasonably sizable in length and width. In fact, nearly all of our quilts are sizable enough to relieve the need for a dust ruffle or pillow shams. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.
