The Log Cabin Lone Star Quilt gives you two quilt patterns in one! It is a combination of the classic Lone Star and Log Cabin Quilts. This Log Cabin Lone Star Quilt boasts a scalloped border and 295 yards of very neat hand-quilting, all quilted by one Pennsylvania Amish lady to ensure even stitches. Quilt fits a queen-size bed and will have a 18.5 inch drop per side.

Although the pieces of fabric are stitched by machine to guarantee tighter sewing, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton fabrics compose the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched in between those two layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting guaranties both warmth and also outstanding washing results.
Almost all of our quilts are generous enough to eliminate the necessity for a dust ruffle or pillow shams. Just as bed heights are different, each quilt's proportions differs. We designate the quilt's dimensions as well as the determined drop for you to compare to the proportions you may need. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.

My husband loves the ocean, we live 1 hour away, so I bought this quilt “for him”. Our bedroom has several nautical items in it and is painted a sea foam blue. We love it and we pray for the quilter of the Sailor’s compass quilt nightly.
