The Log Cabin Lone Star quilt is a beautiful combination of two traditional patterns, the Log Cabin and the Lone Star. It is made with rich purple fabrics and has a beautiful scalloped border. This quilt is hand-quilted, initialed, and dated by Mrs. Jacob Yoder. During the many hours she spent on this quilt, she used 246 yards of thread. On a queen-size bed, this quilt will allow 18.5 inches of drop per side.

Although the fabric pieces are stitched by machine to ensure tighter stitching, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton fabrics compose the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched in between those 2 layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting warranties both heat as well as excellent washing results.
Just about all of our quilts are large enough to relieve the need for a dust ruffle and pillow shams. Just as mattress heights vary, each quilt's dimensions differs. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.
